Chamber welcomes Corpus Christi Stamp Works, Inc

The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome Corpus Christi Stamp Works, Inc as a new member. Representing the Chamber were members of the Bay Blazers Team and Chamber Staff.
Corpus Christi Stamp Works, Inc offer product lines such as, Self-Inking Stamps, Marking & Identification Products, Recognition Awards, Vinyl Wraps, Banners, Digital Imaging, ADA Compliant Sign Systems, and design-built Interior & Exterior Sign Systems. For an exterior environment, they offer building letters and plaques, dimensional characters, and their newest product, post & panel systems. CCSW has recently been awarded HUBZone Certification through a federal program that assists small businesses located in economically distressed communities, referred to as Historically Underutilized Business Zones.
Corpus Christi Stamp Works was established in 1949 as a manufacturer of rubber stamps by two brothers, Wilson and George Southwell. They provided rubber stamps and engraved products such as daters, name tags and name plates to local business. 1952 George and Elsie married and she joined the company. George and Elsie did extremely well in the stamp industry. The company continued to grow and became incorporated in 1973. George and Elsie needed help with the growing business. They asked their nephew, Harry Lee Chester Jr. to join the company.
On June 6, 1977 Harry joined the company and immediately began to learn the business and its operations.  He saw an opportunity to capture a new market by further development of the signs product line. His focus was to develop a sign product that would offer sustainability and quality while maintaining value at a competitive market price. Mission accomplished. Harry achieved his goal in 1982 when CCSW secured its first local bid for a sizable project, Corpus Christi National Bank. The signs that were produced and installed in this project brought local recognition to Corpus Christi Stamp Works; won favor among the local architectural firms, and opened doors to new business opportunities into new market sectors.
Under Chester’s leadership of 33 years, CCSW has evolved into a nationally recognized manufacturer of ADA (American Disabilities Act) Compliant Interior Sign Systems with a client list well into the thousands spanning across all 50 states. Manufacturing and designing architectural sign systems for both interior and exterior environments for  universities, schools, museums, and government facilities, CCSW aspires to expand its scope of projects beyond the U.S. and into International Markets.
Corpus Christi Stamp Works is located at 502 South Staples Street, in Corpus Christi Texas, serving the Coastal Bend Area. Contact Sandra Saenz in Business Development (361) 653-4416 or visit www.ccstampworks.com  for more information.
